Supplier Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation on the RigIt platform as a scaffolding supplier. By registering as a supplier, you agree to these Terms in full.
2. Supplier Registration
To take bookings through RigIt, you must:
- Provide accurate business and contact details
- Hold and maintain public liability insurance of at least £5 million, and employer's liability insurance where you employ staff
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, including HSE requirements
- Hold the professional qualifications and certifications required for the work you accept
- Complete Stripe Connect onboarding before you can be paid
What we check: we verify your identity and bank details through Stripe Connect, and we verify each trading address you add (either by matching your Google Business Profile or by reviewing a supporting document you upload). We do not currently collect or inspect insurance certificates or trade qualifications. Meeting and evidencing those requirements is your responsibility, and you must produce evidence to us or to a customer on request. A listing appearing on RigIt is not a representation by us that your insurance or certifications have been checked.
3. Listing Tiers
RigIt offers two listing tiers:
Basic — free
- Standard listing in search results and the public directory
- Receive and respond to quote requests
- Booking and payment handling
Premium Listing — £49/month
- Listed above Basic suppliers in search results and on the public directory
- Premium badge on your listing
- £49 per month, billed in advance by card. Monthly rolling, with no minimum term
- Cancel at any time. Premium continues to the end of the month you have paid for and is not pro-rated — so cancelling never costs you more than the month already in progress
Premium affects placement only. It does not change your commission rate, and it does not affect how many quote requests you receive. Within a tier, results are still ordered by relevance and distance, so Premium cannot place you in front of customers you do not serve.
4. Commission and Fee Structure
For every booking paid through the platform:
| Element | Rate | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Platform Commission | 12% | Applied to your quoted job amount (ex-VAT) |
| Payment Processing | £0 | Paid by RigIt — not deducted from you |
| Your Payout | 88% | Automatic via Stripe Connect |
How it works: when a customer books a job you quoted at £1,000 (ex-VAT):
- The customer is charged £1,030 — your £1,000 plus a 3% booking fee
- Platform commission: £120 (12% of your £1,000)
- Your payout: £880, transferred automatically by Stripe
The 3% booking fee is charged to the customer, not to you, and is what covers card processing costs. Stripe's processing fee is never deducted from your payout. Commission covers platform operation, payment infrastructure, support and marketing.
5. Founding Partners
Suppliers who purchased a Founding Partner place pay 0% platform commission for 12 months from the date the entitlement is applied to their account, after which the standard 12% rate resumes. During that period you receive 100% of your quoted job amount.
The Founding Partner entitlement is separate from Premium Listing: it reduces commission, not placement. Holding one does not grant the other. The entitlement is tied to the account that redeems it and cannot be transferred or refunded once redeemed. Your current rate and expiry date are shown in your supplier settings.
6. Supplier Obligations
As a RigIt supplier, you must:
- Respond to quote requests promptly, and within 48 hours where possible
- Provide accurate pricing and availability
- Honour confirmed bookings and quoted prices
- Maintain professional communication with customers
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Carry appropriate insurance at all times
- Report any incidents or issues immediately
- Complete work to industry standards
7. Payment Terms
- Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe onboarding and have payouts enabled before a customer can pay you
- Platform commission is deducted automatically at the point of payment; the balance is transferred to your connected account
- Stripe controls payout timing to your bank account, typically within a few working days of the charge settling
- Where a customer pays a deposit, the balance is charged to their saved card when you mark the work complete, on the same commission terms
- Premium Listing subscriptions (£49/month) are charged monthly in advance
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including VAT and income or corporation tax. RigIt does not account for VAT on your behalf
- Failure to pay a Premium subscription results in the listing reverting to Basic; it does not affect your ability to take bookings
8. Cancellations and Refunds
You set your own cancellation policy, which is shown to customers on your listing and applies to bookings you accept. RigIt does not impose a platform-wide refund schedule.
If you cancel a confirmed booking:
- Give at least 48 hours notice where possible, and report emergency cancellations immediately
- The customer is refunded in full, including the booking fee
- Refunds are processed against the original payment. Your share is recovered from your connected account and our commission is returned proportionally, so neither party profits from a cancelled job
- Repeated cancellations may result in suspension
9. Quality Standards
All work must meet:
- Current industry standards and regulations
- Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements
- Customer specifications as agreed
- Professional workmanship standards
10. Reviews and Ratings
- Only customers who have booked you through RigIt can review you, and they may do so once the booking is confirmed
- Reviews contribute to the rating shown on your profile
- We remove reviews only where they breach our policies — for example abuse, or content unrelated to work carried out
- Attempting to manipulate reviews may result in suspension
11. Account Suspension
Your account may be suspended or terminated for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Repeated customer complaints
- Safety violations or incidents
- Fraudulent activity
- Failure to hold the insurance required by section 2
12. Directory Listings
RigIt publishes a directory of UK scaffolding companies compiled from the public Companies House register. A listing may exist for your business before you join, showing only information already on the public register — your registered company name, number and registered office location. Unclaimed listings carry no contact details, pricing or availability, and are marked as unclaimed.
You may claim your listing free of charge to correct it and add your own details. Claiming a listing does not create a paid relationship or oblige you to accept bookings. To have a listing removed, contact us at hello@rigit.ai.
13. Intellectual Property
By uploading content to RigIt, you grant us a licence to display your business information, photos and descriptions on our platform. You retain ownership of your content.
14. Limitation of Liability
RigIt is not liable for:
- Disputes between suppliers and customers
- Injuries or damages arising from your work
- Lost business or opportunity costs
- Customer payment defaults after the initial deposit
You indemnify RigIt against any claims arising from your services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Data Protection
We process your business and personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is used to facilitate customer connections and platform operations. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
17. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination:
- You must fulfil all outstanding bookings
- Your profile will be removed from search results
- Outstanding payments will be processed
- Any part-month of a Premium subscription is not refunded
