Questions people ask
What areas do you cover?
Our directory lists scaffolding companies across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Suppliers who take bookings through RigIt set their own service areas, so enter your address to see who covers you.
How accurate are the 3D measurements?
The designer uses Google’s Photorealistic 3D Tiles, which are accurate enough to plan a scaffold and produce a realistic estimate, but they are aerial map data rather than a survey. Treat the measurements as approximate — your supplier will confirm dimensions, access and ground conditions before work starts.
Is the estimate the price I pay?
No. The figure the designer produces is an indicative estimate based on your measurements and the supplier’s published rates. A binding price only exists once a supplier sends you a quote and you accept it.
Can I book without a site visit?
Some suppliers accept instant bookings, so you can book straight from your design. Others quote first and may want to see the site, which is common for anything complex or at height. Either way the supplier confirms the details before work begins.
What if I need to modify my scaffold design?
You can change your design at any point before booking. After booking, contact your supplier directly — most accommodate reasonable variations, and any price change is agreed with them.
How quickly can suppliers respond?
Response times vary by supplier and how busy they are. Suppliers are asked to reply to quote requests within 48 hours, and you can message them directly through the platform to chase.
Are all suppliers insured?
Suppliers taking bookings through RigIt are required to hold public liability insurance of at least £5 million and to comply with HSE regulations. We verify their identity and bank details through Stripe, and we verify their trading address — but we do not currently inspect insurance certificates, so ask your supplier for theirs before work starts. Directory listings that have not been claimed are taken from the public Companies House register and are not verified by us at all.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are handled by Stripe. You can pay by debit or credit card, or with a wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay if your device supports it. A 3% booking fee is added to the supplier’s price and shown separately before you pay. Deposit and payment terms are set by each supplier.
