Customer Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to RigIt. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our platform as a customer seeking scaffolding services. By using RigIt, you agree to these Terms in full.

2. What RigIt Does

RigIt is a marketplace that connects customers with UK scaffolding suppliers. Through the platform you can:

  • Design a scaffold on a 3D model of your building and get an indicative estimate
  • Request quotes from suppliers and compare them
  • Message suppliers directly
  • Book and pay for work, where the supplier has enabled instant booking

About our suppliers: suppliers who take bookings have completed Stripe identity and bank verification, and each trading address they list has been verified. We do not inspect their insurance certificates or trade qualifications — those remain their responsibility, and you should ask to see them before work begins.

About our directory: RigIt also publishes a directory of UK scaffolding companies compiled from the public Companies House register. Most of these listings are unclaimed: the business has no relationship with RigIt, has not been verified by us, and the listing shows only public register information. Unclaimed listings are marked as such and carry no pricing or availability. Only listings a supplier has claimed and verified show contact details and services.

3. Estimates Are Not Quotes

Any figure the 3D designer produces is an indicative estimate generated from measurements and the supplier's published rates. It is not a quote and it is not binding on anyone. A binding price only exists once a supplier issues you a quote and you accept it.

Measurements taken from 3D map data are approximate. Suppliers commonly need a site visit to confirm access, ground conditions and dimensions, and the final price may differ from the estimate.

4. User Account

To use our services, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities conducted through your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access

5. Booking and Payments

When you book a service through RigIt:

  • All bookings are subject to supplier acceptance
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept debit and credit cards, plus any wallet Stripe offers at checkout (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay)
  • A 3% booking fee is added to the supplier's price. It is shown as a separate line before you pay, and it covers card processing costs
  • Some suppliers take a deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance charged to the same card when the work is complete. The 3% fee applies to each payment
  • Deposit terms, payment terms and cancellation terms are set by the supplier and shown on their listing
  • Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Any VAT is charged by the supplier, not by RigIt

Example: on a £1,000 job you are charged £1,030 — the supplier's £1,000 plus the £30 booking fee. You will always see this breakdown before confirming payment.

6. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate project information and site details
  • Ensure site access for suppliers during agreed times
  • Obtain any permissions required for the scaffold, including licences for scaffolding over a public highway or footpath
  • Comply with health and safety requirements
  • Communicate professionally with suppliers
  • Report any issues or concerns promptly

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation terms are set by each supplier and shown on their listing before you book. RigIt does not impose a single platform-wide refund schedule, so check the terms of the supplier you are booking with.

  • If the supplier cancels, you receive a full refund including the booking fee
  • If you cancel, the supplier's published policy applies
  • Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, and can take several working days to appear
  • If you cannot resolve a refund with the supplier, contact us and we will help mediate

Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including any right to cancel a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

8. Disputes

In the event of a dispute with a supplier:

  • Contact our support team as soon as possible
  • We will help mediate between you and the supplier to reach a resolution
  • The contract for the work is between you and the supplier. RigIt is not a party to it and is not liable for the supplier's performance or the quality of their work

9. Limitation of Liability

RigIt is a platform connecting customers and suppliers. We are not:

  • Responsible for the quality or safety of supplier services
  • Liable for damages or injuries arising from scaffolding work
  • Guarantors of supplier availability or performance
  • Responsible for delays or cancellations by suppliers

Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid to RigIt. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is used to:

  • Facilitate connections with suppliers
  • Process payments and bookings
  • Improve our services
  • Send service updates and notifications

See our Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of RigIt after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email.
